Clearing Your Cache

What is a Cache and why do I need to clear it?

Every time you tell your computer to load a website your computer has to download the files that help make that page, like images and text. But, because you sometimes go to the same website over and over, the browser hangs onto some of those files so it doesn't have to download them over and over. Those files are called the "cache," also referred to as your "temporary internet files."

This is convenient because you do not have to sit there while the page loads, generally a good thing. But, not always. When the website changes, you might see your saved files insead of the files the page wants to give you. In cases like this, you need to delete the old files and download the new ones so that you will see the latest and greatest.
