The Lakeshore Foundation, an official U.S. Olympic and Paralympic training center and the only combined facility in the Southeast, had a website that lagged behind the field in terms of sophistication and appeal. When they decided to build a site indicative of a world-class training facility for top athletes, Lakeshore called us.
Kinetic utilized strict HTML markup standards to guarantee accessibility, designing and coding templates for Lakeshore’s robust content management system. We got knee deep in the software’s proprietary code to seamlessly integrate robust calendar items, an e-newsletter, and images and text into Lakeshore’s new look.
In 2016, we teamed up with Lakeshore again to make their website fully responsive, to help modernize their look and feel, and to update their content. We wanted to keep some of the great features of the site, while making it easier to use from an administrative standpoint. We researched and implemented calendar enhancements that better matched their needs, and we made sure that some of the advanced accessibility concerns were addressed in this iteration as well. Launched just in time for the opening ceremonies of the 2016 Olympics, the result is a well-functioning website that is rich in content and hopefully bridges the gap for those community members looking to get involved.
