Facebook Meets Progressive Farmer
Since 1886, The Progressive Farmer has helped its readers make the most of their farms, land and lives. When the 120-year-old periodical needed an online marketing strategy that was, you guessed it, “progressive,” it turned to Kinetic.
We developed an AdWords pay per click campaign to generate online visits to the magazine’s “Best Places to Live in Rural America” special section. Even more “progressive,” we helped Progressive Farmer market itself to a new generation of readers with a Facebook application that determines just how “country” you are. The simple quiz application uses the Facebook API to promote itself virally through users’ news feeds and links users to the “Best Places to Live in Rural America” Readers Choice Poll.
