Alabama Launchpad
Being an Alabama-based, technology-oriented small business, we were fans of Alabama Launchpad since its inception. Primarily known for administering the annual Governor’s Business Plan Competition, Alabama Launchpad fosters startup companies founded by Alabama entrepreneurs, creating jobs, and preparing the state for the new economy. With a mission like that, Launchpad couldn’t get by with an old website.
Kinetic worked with Alabama Launchpad to develop a website indicative of its high tech and professional image. We extended a look and feel developed by Launchpad's print designer to a bold new site. We used "web 2.0" design conventions like big buttons and "glassy" buttons to round out the clean look. Even the newsletter subscription form on the home page is Ajax enabled. In true collaborative fashion, we enabled Alabama Launchpad to place site content directly, saving dollars for additional Kinetic touches.
